Fat Ninja Bite is located just south of the south east corner of Kennedy and Steeles. In a location that has countless Asian places to eat being that it's the border of north Scarborough and where Pacific Mall begins in Markham is a small, bar seating place called Fat Ninja Bite. Funny name sure but serious food however. This place basically makes what is known and turns it into something simple yet different and new. Katsu on rice is more typical and on the level of comfort food but if you want to try something just a bit different how about an entire pork or chicken cutlet on a burger bun? While it doesn't quite equal an entire pounded schnitzel place on a mini bun the meat served it substantial. I had the chicken katsu while my friend ordered the pork. The pork was twice the diameter of the bun easily. The chicken was more along the ways of how the burgers are at Wimpy's in that they're long enough that you could fold it and make it basically a double chicken katsu portion of meat. Not only are the servings larger than the bun but really they are also very good. I can't speak to the pork but the chicken was not dry in the least. The potion was hot, steamy, fresh and the breading was that right amount of crisp and quite honestly I can't say I've had a better katsu to date. I also ordered the croquettes on the side and they are a nice change of side as opposed to just rice or fries. I really liked this sandwich and while I didn't fold it I actually cut off the excess and ate them afterwards. The one knock if anything of this place has nothing to do with the food but the parking here. It's kind of hard to park in this strip mall only because there's not really that much room as far as a driveway to the place which is adjacent to the gas station. There's not much room to turn in so I ended up backing in as I usually prefer to park but still there's not much room to drive, two way traffic through this tight area.
My first review of 2020 and I can't think of writing anyone but Fat Ninja Bite! I have been eating there since they opened a few years ago and I think I owe them a review! This place is my go to for a quick bite if I want a good katsu burger, or when I need catering to have a house party! Service: Super friendly staff that greet you with a smile! Food: Their pork, chicken, fish katsu are made to order. I always see them coating my katsu before it goes to the fryer! Other items like taro chips are also highly recommended! So if you want an epic katsu burger meal, this place is a must visit! Happy 2020 everyone!
My wife has been asking to visit this place and it did not disappoint when we finally checked out this place. The place was not hard to find, right by Pacific Mall. There were a few parking spaces by the small plaza and luckily, we beat the rush at lunch and managed to find one parking spot. The interior was small, but thankfully they had seating for at least 10 seats. The staffs were very friendly and greeted everyone when they stepped in. This was our fist visit and our first time eating katsu meat. We ordered 1 chicken katsu burger, 1 white meat chicken katsu burger, 2 chicken katsu noodle soup, 1 coleslaw and 1 taro chips bag. The family enjoyed the lunch here and the katsu meat was delicious! Our first time eating it and it did not disappoint at all. Overall, we would recommend everyone to try if they have not yet.
I usually go to Fat Ninja Bite when I am in the neighborhood. The restaurant is located on a tiny strip plaza where non-trivial amount of skill is required to actually park your car. The restaurant is tiny with very limited seating space. Most of the orders are taken to go. The staff are pretty friendly and very quick. I usually get a katsu burger or the bulgogi burger. Each sandwich is a fantastic take on their respective Japanese/Korean cuisines and I am hard pressed to pick a favorite. The katsu burger patty is huuuuge!! The meat is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The bulgogi burger is filled with sweet lingering flavor and the beef is incredibly tender. The burgers come with crispy coleslaw and a side of taro chips.
Got here for a late night bite, we were dying to try this place out because the rating is just so high it seems unreal. Since we are up in the area there r tons of good food options so we were debating if we should go or not, but truth is, I was so glad we got to try this place cuz it is AMAZING!!!! The chicken katsu cutlet is as long as 3 burger breads, so u have options to :1. Eat the ones outside of the burger first, or 2. Fold it once/twice three eat the extremely thick burger. We tried both and both were delicious. I have never had katsu with breading so light, so airy yet so crispy, it is drizzled in sauce and we took a long time to eat but the sauce did not even make it even a little soggy which is the best part about this. Please open an location in downtown toronto I'm beginning u. I need this on a weekly basis.
Fat Ninja Bite has become my go to when I'm craving for fried katsu burgers or rice. Situated on a very busy and convenient location. Restaurant mainly for takeout but does have some tables if you wish to eat it freshly there. I've been here many times over the years and what I'm impressed with is the consistency of the food quality and portion size. You can order all sorts of fried pork, beef, fish and chicken meals which comes with burger buns or steamed rice. They also have appetizers such as takoyaki and potato croquette. This visit we ordered the Chicken Katsu Burger (white meat), Chicken Katsu (white meat) with Salad, Pork Katsu with steamed rice, Takoyaki/Potato Croquette and a Taro Chips. All meats were crunchy and fried perfectly. Meal also comes with side coleslaw which was very creamy and tasty. The fried katsu is gigantic. Their signature hot sauce is also my favorite if you like a spicy kick. Everytime I come here either for takeout or dine in, owner and staff are very friendly. Recommend that you order ahead of time if you want takeout cause this place has become very popular and busy. Overall a must try for all katsu lovers!
A friend had this company cater Katsu from this place and I had tried some and wanted to go back for more! Located just across the street from Pacific Mall, this little small shop is one of the best Katsu places. I had ordered the chicken Katsu burger, the price was very reasonable at around $12 for a large piece of Katsu over bun. The batter on the Katsu was light and very flavorful with the mayo they put on top. Overall, service was great, food tasted great and would recommend to anyone looking for some cheap eats around Markham.
Hidden spot that is delicious and staff is friendly right when you walk in. The katsu feels so light in comparison to other places when you eat it. The coleslaw is perfectly seasoned . Definitely a spot to try out.
Fat Ninja Bite is by far the best katsu I've had in the GTA. It's a small restaurant with booth seating, run by the nicest people ever! Their portions are huge and the prices as very fair. We got the stiry fry with don katsu and don katsu on rice. They also have a Japanese Mayo sauce on the side you can use which was delicious. Their coleslaw is fresh and crunchy.. so good !! I've tried their fried fish too and that is also super good but I personally prefer the pork katsu way more!
A great option for lunch or dinner at an affordable price. The chicken is always juicy and crispy with a super generous portion. About $12-15 per portion. Only thing I would change is the bun - it's a Dempsters bun so it's just too soft to hold all that chicken. And they don't toast it as far as I can tell. Also, there isn't much seating, and when we went in at around 9pm, they had a sign that said 'take out only' despite the restaurant being empty and them closing at least an hour later. Quite weird if you ask me, but perhaps it was because they were closing soon and didn't want to clean up. It would've been nice to eat our katsu nice and fresh, but it was still good after a drive home. The staff are super friendly, always serving with a smile.
Very no frills and quick place to grab a bite to eat. Katsu is definitely the star of the restaurant and they make it very well! They have a simple menu of probably the only things you'd eat anyways--which is katsu. All their menu items are quite tasty and you can't go wrong with any of the options. The prices are defiantly reasonable as well! The katsu burger is a favourite of mine and I'd recommend getting that first and foremost! Fair warning on the noodles though, you mostly pay for the katsu in the set. The soup base is very no-frills and is mainly to act as a holder of the noodles. Stop by for some of their tarp chips, if anything! I love non-potato chips and these are no exceptions.
I've been coming to Fat Ninja Bites for a couple of years before I started Yelp reviews and let me tell you, I love this place. Chicken Katsu burgers are huge and they are delicious. They are very attentive and they remember who you are when you become a regular. The lady at the front I think she is the owner she remembers that I don't have tomatoes in my food because of my allergies. She takes my order and says " no tomatoes". I feel special that she remembers. This in top of the delicious food is why I always come back. I wish this place was bigger. Where you can sit longer. Maybe one day soon they will move into bigger and better.
This is my favourite burger place. I don't love burgers but I can always go for a Katsu burger here. The portions are huge and the chicken is so crunchy and juicy. The toppings in the burger are super refreshing and pairs well with the chicken. My mouth is watering just writing this review. Highly recommend calling in to place your order first so that when you arrive your food is ready. They make it fresh to order so it takes 10-15 mins to make. I would recommend eating it in store fresh so that the burger doesn't get soggy and you can really enjoy and appreciate the burger fresh.
There weren't too many options on the menu but that makes deciding on what to order easier. I went with the katsu burger and my friend went with the katsu with rice and we shared a small order of dumplings. I was shocked when I went to pick up my burger. It was huge! I got a knife and fork and cut off pieces to eat instead of trying to pick it up and taking bites. It was fried well and had a satisfying crunch. If you don't have a big appetite I'd recommend sharing an order since neither my friend or I was able to finish our meals. We found that the dumplings' wrapper was too thick and it took away from the flavours. Good luck if you're turning left when you leave the parking lot. Kennedy is a very busy road.
Since the last visit, my children always request to go back to Fat Ninja Bite for their delicious Katsu burger and soft serve ice cream. I really wish it is closer to home. We are happy to visit the place again. The service was friendly as last time. The young lady at the cashier was energetic, cheerful and kinda make my day. The menu changes a little since last visit. (No more ice cream）But happy to see the signature Katsu Burger still on the menu. So we order Katsu burger and Takoyaki to go. The Katsu burger is so delicious; the bread coating is very nicely done. After being kept in the take-out box for 20 minutes, the Katsu coating is still crunchy yet the meat is tender. The flavour of the toppings in the burger harmonize with the Katsu; I enjoy every bite of the burger. To consider the generous portion, the price is very reasonable. The Takoyaki octopus balls are delicious and they did't out too much sauce like most other places. Love the coating is so soft and you can eat the octopus bites. I have to mention the special hot sauce cannot be missed if you enjoy spiciness. It is so delicious to add on the Katsu and Takoyaki. We also sampled the Taro chips. The thin and crispy chips with seaweed are really addictive. If you look for healthy snack, this Chip is the way to go. Overall the food quality and service are consistent and solid. Definitely worth going for their Katsu and try other items on their menu.
YUMMY!!! located across the street from Pmall, FNB is a small takeout style restaurant. There is a row of bar seats to dine in if you want to eat it fresh. The food itself is delicious. Their Katsu is huge and extremely tender. They have cutlery you can use to cut the katsu in pieces to eat first, before making your way to the burger. They also have a unique Japanese curry mayo sauce you can add for extra flavor. I can see why everyone raves about this place!
Fat Ninja Bite is popular for its fusion-style burgers including the Chicken Katsu Burger. I have to admit it is terrific not only based on its crisp bites but just its sheer size. It was impressive to see them batter and bread each long strip of marinated chicken before hitting the frier. For my takeout, the katsu was cut from its full wingspan in order to fit the box! The chicken katsu was well-seasoned, and was balanced nicely by a layer of sweet coleslaw between the bread buns. Tried their taro chips with seaweed /salt as well, which I quite liked even if wifey wasn't as impressed. I probably chomped down half of the chip bag while waiting for the burger. Interestingly, I noticed many others ordered katsu rice that came in an equally generous portion size as the burger. While the food was as delicious as advertised, one drawback was that parking wasn't easy at their tiny plaza south of Pmall. Once inside the waitline was also surprisingly long, which I guess explained the packed parking. Fortunately the staff was relatively quick to serve out their food. Fat Ninja Bite certainly has quite a following and it's easy to see why.
Ordered Cheese Don Katsu, Chicken Katsu, Tokoyaki. The Katsu is good, the dark meat is tender but the chicken Katsu was very greasy. The cheese Don Katsu the meat was little dry. But the coleslaw was really good.
Got take out from here for a my family. Small gem in the corner of a plaza beside the gas station. Very delicious food - cutlets were crispy and even though we got take out it was not soggy at all. Flavours were on point. Its like a dine in or take out fast food joint w higher quality items. Parking however is its major downfall - small tight spots.
Very small restaurant with very limited seating. However, this place is very busy with take out and uber eats/skip the dishes. First their katsu. It is a very generous portion and is thin, crispy, and tasty. It won't blow you away, but it's pretty damn good. I had the pork katsu udon and takoyaki. Both are delicious, and that udon broth really surprised me with how tasty it was. I highly recommend it. The taro chips are also very tasty. They have a bit of that seaweed flavor and for $3, it is a great snack. I also got a chicken katsu burger, but I was so full from the other parts of my meal that I didn't even touch it yet. It looks amazing though. The meal portions were deceptively filling. 5/5 will visit again.
